Holly Hotchkiss took ownership of Transition Resources in 2015 after five years of working with Ann Donahue, its previous owner. Her background in accounting and non-profit management gives her a focused perspective when planning and executing projects. “I love strategic planning, whether it’s for moving an organization forward or moving a family closer to their estate disposition goals.”
Holly’s patient approach to helping clients downsize and move comes from years of helping people let go of treasures. A former consignment store owner, she knows that there is always someone else who will give a happy second life to treasured things.
A native of nowhere, Holly lived in nine different states before choosing Iowa as her home in 1993. An Iowa Master Gardener, she lives in Iowa City with her four rescued cats.
A lifetime Corridor resident, Ann Donahue enjoyed a long career in retail as an operations executive, buyer & manager before starting Transition Resources in 2009. Ann’s superior organizing & prioritizing skills have proved invaluable to Transition clients who are wading through years of accumulated possessions. “I love helping clients sort through their things and assisting with downsizing, I can relate to what they are going through, since I have done it for loved ones and myself.”
Our senior clients especially love Ann’s efficiency and humor-filled approach to projects; and Ann’s board service with the U of Iowa Lifetime Enrichment Adult Program and Johnson County Livable Communities gave her a front-row seat during discussions about aging and senior life.
When not spending time with her husband of 40+ years, Ann serves on two community non-profit boards and loves to stay active.
